Towards the creation of a smart nation, Keppel Land inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the National University of Singapore (NUS) on 19 November 2015 to conduct joint research into the areas of data analytics software, building energy efficiency and energy management.
The signing ceremony was conducted in conjunction with the inauguration ceremony of the NUS Centre for Integrated Building Energy and Sustainability in the Tropics (CiBEST).
The development of CiBEST aims to support Singapore’s goal to develop cutting-edge expertise in designing energy efficient and sustainable buildings for tropical climates.Keppel Land will partner CiBEST and JTC Corporation for the test-bedding, evaluation, development and commercialisation of the developed solutions. Mr Tan Swee Yiow, President (Singapore) at Keppel Land, shared, “Keppel Land adopts a proactive and holistic approach in the way we design, build and operate our properties to ensure that they harmonise with the environment and enhance the quality of life of the community.
