As a firm believer of doing well and doing good, Keppel Land constantly gives back to the communities where itoperates. In line with this, Keppel Land China is developing an eco-programme which includes the planning of an eco-map for the Sheshan area.
As part of the rollout for the programme, on 18 April 2017, Keppel Land China organised “Active Living at Songjiang – Keppel Land Songjiang Eco Discovery Tour”.
The event was held at Bei Ganshan Primary School in Sheshan, Shanghai, a school for children from migrant families. The school is located in the same town as Keppel Land China’s latest villa development, Sheshan Riviera. Keppel Land China donated computers and stationery to the school.
The event, which marks the start of an ongoing environmental and education outreach programme in Shanghai for Keppel Volunteers, saw about 20 Keppel Volunteers bring over 70 students and teachers to Chenshan Botanical Garden to discover the rich local biodiversity.
During the excursion, students had the opportunity to exercise their creativity and painted their very own eco-maps illustrating key green landmarks of the area.
