In line with its brand philosophy of “Thinking Unboxed”, Keppel Land China develops quality and innovative products for its homebuyers and tenants and also leverages technologies to engage and enrich the lives of its employees.
To facilitate learning and knowledge sharing, Keppel Land China launched its mobile learning platform Ji Xue Tang (吉学堂, “Keppel Classroom”) on 2 May 2017. The platform aims to spur innovation among Keppelites and has close to 600 active users.
Learning materials available on the portal range from job-related topics such as business development, sales and marketing, human resource management, finance and administration, project management, property management, quality management and health and safety, to useful IT and self-improvement tips. Content is presented in video, audio, animation and text formats that are easily digestible for users.
Mr Zack Wang, Director (Talent Management), Human Resources (HR), Keppel Land China, shared, “Riding on the trend of mobile learning to deliver bite-sized information at users’ convenience, the HR department embarked on two projects that featured e-learning and short courses. This then evolved into Ji Xue Tang.”
Apart from learning materials uploaded by the HR department, Keppelites are also encouraged to create their own videos and materials for sharing. Of the 80 modules offered in the portal, about 50 are contributed by Keppelites.
Complementing the conventional training courses conducted by external and in-house trainers, the mobile learning platform is easy to access and facilitates quick sharing among Keppelites.
