Safety – a top priority

Crisis management frameworks at Keppel Land’s properties are kept robust with the regular drills held in Singapore and overseas, including at Marina at Keppel Cove in Zhongshan, China, where the Guangdong Province Water Safety and Emergency Rescue Drill 2017 was held in April (pictured)

At Keppel Land, safety is not only a top priority, but also one of the Company’s core values. In recent months, Keppel Land’s properties in Singapore and overseas made progress in their safety journey.

In China, Keppel Land’s award-winning resort, Spring City Golf & Lake Resort (Spring City), was awarded the Work Safety Standardisation Certificate by China’s State Administration of Work Safety.

The award recognises Spring City as one of 37 enterprises in Kunming which provide safe, secure and healthy environments for locals and visitors alike.

In Singapore, Marina at Keppel Bay held joint exercises with Home Team agencies in the months of March and April 2017 to ensure its crisis and business continuity management frameworks are kept robust.

In Zhongshan, China, Marina at Keppel Cove played host to the Guangdong Province Water Safety and Emergency Rescue Drill 2017.

Jointly organised by the Tourism Administration of Guangdong Province and the Municipal Government of Zhongshan, the event involved around 100 participants, including Mr Zeng Xiaofeng, Deputy Bureau Chief of Tourism Administration of Guangdong Province, and other government officials. Students from Shenwan Secondary School also took this opportunity to learn more about water safety and first-aid.
